About Me

Hello, my name is Izzy J, I’m 29 and was just promoted to an Assistant Store Manager at Starbucks. I’m currently a junior at Arizona State University and majoring in Digital Media Literacy with a minor in Art History. I hope to one day use my degree to work as a librarian so that I can do the things I love, which are: reading and helping my community with resources. In my free time, I love to read, mainly horror, sci-fi, and fantasy. Other than reading, I love to play video games and watch TV.

I created this blog to show who I am and take everyone on a journey through my reading adventures. This will be a place for me to share my passion for reading and books and showcase different sides of reader spaces, whether that’s through the side of readers, authors, librarians, or publishers. Everyone has different opinions on what is considered reading, whether it’s an escape from the world or to teach us important messages and lessons (reading IS political and audiobooks count as reading, friends). I run an Instagram centered around books and being in book spaces. It features important messages like supporting your local library and spreading the joy of reading. I’m interested in all aspects of books and want to be able to inform people about the importance of reading.
